When the largest Czech automaker calls and says they want to come see your robot — you don't think twice.
Last week, three representatives from Škoda Auto — Ondřej Ouhrabka, Lukáš Altman Kousal, and Tomáš Posekaný — arrived at our laboratory in Zlín. No formal presentation. They came to see how George works.
What We Showed Them
George in action. The simulation environment, teleoperation, data collection for training robotic capabilities. The entire development process from virtual model to physical prototype.
What impressed them the most? Two things:
→ European sovereignty. We build the entire development on European components. Sensitive manufacturing data never leaves the company. For an automaker working with proprietary manufacturing processes, this is not a bonus — it is a requirement.
→ Speed. 25 people, 6 months, a functional prototype. Ondřej Ouhrabka later summarized it on LinkedIn: "Their first fully functional prototype has been completed in just 6 months." [Ondřej Ouhrabka's LinkedIn post]
Zlín's Robotics Tradition
One moment amused everyone: George could have sensors from Zlín-based Moleda in his soles. That Moleda — the one with Prestige. Humanoid robotics with Zlín's shoemaking tradition — it makes perfect sense. A local supply chain, proven technology, European independence.
What's Next
Zdeněk Huspenina will present George directly in Mladá Boleslav at the Autonomous Robotics Live event at Škoda Auto.
Humanoid robotics is moving from laboratories into real discussions with industry. Not in 5 years. Now.
A few months ago, we didn't exist. Today, automakers drive to us and invite us to their headquarters. And this is just the beginning.
